Cherry Creek Village South Update

On May 2, 2022, Greenwood Village City Council approved several actions that will facilitate the safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the neighborhood. This letter is to notify residents of the upcoming enforcement of the new restrictions beginning on Monday, August 15, 2022.

School Zones

New school zones have been created on E. Chenango Avenue from Yosemite Street to S. Beeler Street and from S. Chester Street to S. Clinton Street. The speed limit within the school zones has been reduced from 25 MPH to 20 MPH and is effective Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Parking/Stopping Restrictions

Parking/stopping restrictions have also been implemented on E. Chenango Avenue adjacent to Chenango Park and at the intersection of E. Chenango Avenue and S. Clinton Street. Vehicles are prohibited to stop and drop off students at these locations.

Time-of-Day Right Turn Prohibition

A right turn prohibition will be implemented for westbound E. Belleview Avenue to S. Beeler Street. The turn prohibition will be effective Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. As a result, vehicles will not be able to make a right turn onto S. Beeler Street from westbound E. Belleview Avenue. Please note that residents who live in the Cherry Creek Village South neighborhood will not be exempt from this turn prohibition.

Please be aware of the new signage in the neighborhood that designates these locations. Greenwood Village Police will begin enforcement of the changes on August 15, 2022. There will be a brief education period before Greenwood Village Police will begin issuing citations.
