The Parks, Trails and Recreation Department invites the public to review the proposed landscape design for the Autumn Hills Trail enhancement at a public meeting to be held on February 21 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Village Maintenance Facility, 10001 E. Costilla Avenue.
The section of the trail being redeveloped is the pathway adjacent to East Prentice Avenue, between South Boston Street and the Covenant Presbyterian Church on Yosemite Street. This project will include repaving the trail all the way to E. Crestline Ave. The City’s proposed design includes replacing the equestrian path with landscape vegetation to act as a screen between pedestrians and residents. Additionally, the design includes replacing the lawn space with a crevice garden. Crevice gardens are a mix of rock formations and various native plantings and examples of these can be found at the Denver Botanical Gardens and at Chenango Park.
